Dianne Cano
Dianne Marie Cano (she/her) is a Cuban-American freelance performer and choreographer born in Miami, FL. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the New World School of the Arts. At New World, she performed works by Ohad Naharin, Robert Battle, Ronald K. Brown, and Paul Taylor. During her college years, Dianne spent her summers training with the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, The Broadway Theatre Project, and the Paul Taylor Dance Company. After graduating, Dianne worked in Miami as a collaborator/swing for Adele Myers and Dancers. She also danced for National Water Dance, a site-specific contemporary company under the direction of Dale Andree. Since moving to New York City, she has been honored to appear in works by choreographers Abigail Rebekah, Adrian Lee, Charlie Sutton, and Robert Taylor Jr. She has been working on her choreography and has recently presented her work titled Juntas Seguimos at the Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company's Studio to Stage Showcase. She will be presenting an excerpt of this work at the 2025 WestFest Festival in May. Dianne is currently a company member with choreographer and Paul Taylor alumna, Laura Halzack.
